About the Shlomo Group

Originally a car rental business, today the Shlomo Group has grown into one of Israel's largest companies, which has grown in the areas of transport,insurance,finance, infrastructure, construction, shipping, logistics and real estate. Today, the Shlomo Group operates in Israel, Romania and Germany, generates annual revenue approximately EURO 2.6bn, and employs over 5,000 people.

The Shlomo Group is a family run business established in 1974 by the late Shlomo Shmeltzer.  

Shlomo started his business as a small car rental company with only 3 cars. Thanks to a hands-on approach and sharp commercial senses, Shmeltzer grew the Shlomo Group  into a conglomerate employing some 5,000 people.

An outstanding and respected figure within the Israeli business and financing community, Shmeltzer built a reputation for buying struggling companies and turning them around into thriving businesses.

Asi Shmeltzer is the Chairman of Shlomo Holdings since 2014. Asi was Deputy Chairman of Shlomo Holdings and also serves as a director and CEO of the Shlomo's rent division. Furthermore, Asi is a director and manages various companies of Shlomo Group.
